Who goes electric? The anatomy of electric car ownership in Norway

We describe the anatomy of electric car ownership in Norway, country with highest market share low-emission vehicles, using matched administrative micro data covering entire population private owners. Our results show that socioeconomic characteristics are strong predictors portfolio. Battery vehicle (BEV) is increasing wealth, income and education. While early BEV owners differed from other owners, over time have become more similar to document a association between privileges on travel work (like toll road exemptions bus lane access) ownership. buyers less likely than sell their old car, but this difference has diminished time.
